- Select a category, such as Compute or Database, from the list.

Customizing Your Dashboard
Creating Service Shortcuts
To make frequently used services more accessible, you can create shortcuts:
- Click on the "Edit" menu on the navigation bar to see a list of services.
- Drag your preferred services from the menu bar to the navigation bar to create shortcuts.
Adding Service Shortcuts
After dragging a service to the navigation bar, the shortcut will be created and added. You can arrange these shortcuts in any order you like. For instance, you might create shortcuts for S3, EMR, and DynamoDB services.
Deleting Service Shortcuts
If you no longer need a shortcut:
- Click the "Edit" menu and drag the shortcut from the navigation bar back to the service menu to remove it.
For example, you might remove the shortcut for the EMR service.
Selecting a Region
Many AWS services are region-specific. To select a region:
- Choose a service from the console.
- Click on the region name (e.g., "Oregon") on the left side of the console and select your desired region.
Note that some services, like AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), do not require a region selection.
Changing Your Password
To change the password for your AWS account:
- Click on your account name on the left side of the navigation bar.
- Select "Security Credentials" to open the password change page.
- Follow the instructions to change your password. After signing in again, follow additional instructions to finalize the change and receive a confirmation message.
